INDEXICALITY
This project is about a delineation of imbalance of centripetal force whose path creates volume through motion blur which becomes illegible and is further reinforced through the removal of center. The notion of movement is further emphasized through the unorganized paths that connect the solids around a void.
The central void is created through a circular revolution of a series of volumes, which through an intertwining series of connections the movement becomes even more asymmetrical.
The centripetal gravitationally pulls all the surrounding volumes toward the central absence of volume. The architecturally cracked site indexes where the central point used to be.
A chosen Issey Miyake dress has an impact on the design of the canopies and influenced the skin condition. The pleating on the dress is transferred to the canopies.
